Optoelectronic system architect

Responsibilities
- Design and develop SiP/SoC architecture for a high-sensitive photodetector (SiPM) for LiDAR applications
- Set photodetector technical requirements depending on the application used
- Work closely with the teams of electronics, software and photodetector design developers
- Analyze technical datasheets and scientific articles relating to the area of expertise
Must-have skills
- 5+ years in development and optimization of optoelectronic systems
- Comprehensive approach to development of complex modular systems (risk, complexity and resources assessment)
- Experience working with high-sensitive photodetectors (APD, SiPM, SPAD)
- Experience analyzing the noise characteristics of photodetectors and electronics
- Experience in estimation and calculation of optical system characteristics (geometric optics)
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
- Familiarity with modern electronic components (ADC, DAC, RAM, etc.)
- Beginner programming skills in C/C++/Assembler/Python
- Good command of spoken and written English
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience developing LiDAR/Optical Rangefinders
- Experience in physical processes modeling and analytical models building
- Experience working with SPICE modeling tools (LTSpice, Microcap or analog)
- Deep knowledge in optics, electronics, digital/analog circuitry, and programming
